Grace Baptist Church wanted a website that focused on the people of their church. One Sunday morning, Diana brought her camera and snapped pictures of people as they left the building. We organized those pictures into a collage for the front page.

The most important aspect of the site for Grace is the blog. They use their blog to post any announcements or upcoming events, and they wanted people to be easily notified of new blogs on the front page of the site. (After Katrina, the people of Grace stayed in communication with each other on a forum that someone had previously set up. They wanted to be able to use the blog as a communication tool in case anything happens again.)
I placed a blog excerpt next to the navigation so it could not be missed.

I did not want the blog or other pages to lose the focus on the people.

For the staff page we still wanted to emphasis that they were real, likable, normal people. We did a little photo shoot, and these were the pics we choose to represent the staff.
